12/28/22 – This is a beautiful Remington 03-A4 sniper rifle from 1944. It has the proper receiver with offset maker mark and serial number to avoid being covered by the scope mounts and the proper barrel as front sights were never added to original 03-A4 snipers. The rifle comes with an excellent Weaver Model 330 scope. The optics are very clear and the reticle is crisp, but there is a small chip in the upper left corner of the sight picture. It doesn’t obscure the target or reticle though. The stock is in gorgeous condition but was likely sanded lightly at some point. The stock has a “p in circle” marking on the wrist and inspectors cartouches on the left side, but they are now very faint. The left side also has a RIA rework stamp, and the stock has the proper factory inspection markings in front of the trigger group. Terrific bore.
