12/14/22 – This is an authentic Springfield Armory M1D sniper rifle. Very good original parkerizing, with most of the wear on the gas tube and trigger guard. Very good wood with DoD and p proofs. The throat is a 3 and the muzzle 2 with a minty bore. It has an original M84 scope which has very good blue but showing surface rust in various places on the body with both sun shades and adjustment caps. The optics have several flecks, but is overall clear with a perfect reticle. It still retains it’s original cheek pad that looks like it has been on the stock forever. The mount we feel may be a repro, but it looks very authentic and fits snug and tight. Comes with an original sling. Serial dates receiver to 1944, barrel date is May of 1951.
