12/28/22 – This is a very nice Sauer K98 manufactured in 1942. The rifle itself has matching numbers throughout, including the stock, handguard, rear sight assembly, bolt assembly, bands and trigger group. Unfortunately, a previous owner tapped holes into the receiver to receive scope mounts. Comes with the reproduction mounts but no scope. The gun itself has retained somewhere between 90-95% of its bluing. The stock shows dings and handling wear but no cracks. Very nice bore with good rifling.
