12/1/22 – This is an excellent example of a rare Kommer Model 4 with Eagle/N proofs on the slide, frame and chamber. From 1936-1940, Kommer manufactured a few thousand of the model 4 in 7.65mm. It is modeled very similarly to the FN Model 1910, but has the grip safety ommitted. The Kommer factory was in Zella-Mehlis where other small arms factories were located, most notable being the Walther factory. This one is all matching and has “Eagle N” proofs, indicating it was made in 1940. It comes as a rig with one proper magazine and a generic tan leather shoulder holster. The gun itself has retained about 96% of its original high polish finish. There is minor wear along the high edges of the slide and some small handling marks here and there, most noticeable on the left side of the slide. Comes with very nice period-correct black bakelite grips. Minty bore.
