Human Cattle Killer
Early 1900's

11/29/22 – This is a nice example of a very unique gun. This is a Humane Cattle Killer made by Greener’s in Birmingham, England in the early 1900’s. Chambered in .310. These were used to humanely and quickly dispatch of cattle for processing. The idea is that a bullet manually loaded into the chamber by unscrewing the cap. The cap is then screwed back on, and the bullet is fired by using a mallet to hit the firing pin that sticks out at the top. This is an actual gun, and the handle doubles as a barrel that is actually rifled. Overall, it is nice condition with heavy “barn patina” throughout. No noticeable bluing. The bore is very nice and has great rifling. Everything appears to function as it should. This item will require an FFL but is C&R eligible. Included wth the gun is a photocopy of a lid to a box of ammo. It does not actually include ammo.
