11/8/22 – This is a DWM Luger that was originally issued to the Imperial German military in 1918. It is all matching and has the proper Imperial military proofs. This one was then reworked and issued to the German police force, as evidenced by the added police sear safety, police unit marking on the front strap, and matching-numbered police arsenal magazine. The gun has retained roughly 80% of its finish. There is obvious thinning along the barrel and on both grip straps. Areas of wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the high edges in general. Areas of spotty oxidation throughout. Comes with un-marked wood grips – both grips fit just a tad loosely and there is a chip in the top corner of the left panel. The rifling in the bore is worn with pitting throughout.
