10/27/22 – This is a very nice example of a “42 Code” Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1939. The gun is matching and has the correct “Eagle 63” military acceptance proofs. It has retained roughly 80-85% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on both grip straps. There are also areas of minor wear on the side plate, very front edges of the side rails, and around the muzzle. A couple of very light scratches on the side plate and what look like a few light vice witness marks on the left side of the frame. Comes with minty wood grips that are not numbered but “Eagle 655” proofed. Also comes with a mismatched magazine. The bore is generally shiny with strong rifling and light freckling here and there.
