10/17/22 – This is an original, early WW2 production 1st variation Luftwaffe dagger with an original scabbard and chain hanger. The dagger blade is in great condition with some very mild surface scratches. There’s very minimal surface discoloration, and the edges have no signs of sharpening or misuse. The blade is maker stamped on one side as shown. The original leather stopper is still intact. The aluminum hand guard and pommel have some mild surface patina but the gold coloring in the swastika is still excellent. The leather handle has some scuffing and some of the wire chord wrapping is becoming loose, but overall in great condition. The scabbard is excellent, and the chain hanger is maker stamped by OLC.
