10/11/22 – This is a very nice example of a late-production Ithaca Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1945. It is “United States Property” marked, “FJA” proofed, and has the proper cross-cannon military cartouche on the right side of the frame. The slide and frame appear to have been mated – the colors are slightly different and the fit is a bit tight. Comes with a parkerized High Standard barrel. The rear grip safety has been replaced. The entire gun has been refinished. There is very little actual finish loss, just some spotty discoloration along the slide. Comes with excellent reddish plastic grips and one period-correct “S” marked magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling. The lanyard loop on the butt of the frame is missing.
