10/11/22 – This is a nice example of a late Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1945. It is “United States Property” marked, “FJA” proofed, and has the proper cross-cannon military cartouche on the right side of the frame. The slide and frame appear to have been mated. Proper High Standard barrel. The gun has retained about 85% of its finish. There is minor wear around the high edges in general, but the most obvious sign of wear is splotchy discoloration on the whole frame. Thinning on the back strap. There are what look like noticeable machine marks on the front strap. Comes with excellent reddish plastic grips and one magazine. Minty bore.
