10/11/22 – This is an excellent example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. It is “United States Property” marked and has the proper “Eagle Head” military inspection marking on the left side of the frame. There is also an “AA” marking on the frame, indicating this gun was reworked at the Augusta Arsenal, likely for use in WW2. The entire gun was refurbished at this arsenal, and the barrel was replaced. The gun has retained virtually all of its new parkerized finish with just some tiny pits under the finish on the slide. Comes with excellent WW2-era plastic grips and one magazine. Minty bore.
