10/6/22 – This is an original WW2 Luftwaffe Gravity Knife. The knife is in great overall condition with an excellent, clean blade. The only takeaway from the blade is that there’s some mild signs of sharpening along the edge. Otherwise, the blade has minimal discoloration and a crisp maker stamp. Mechanically sound with a functional release and locking blade. The exterior handle and side plate are matching numbered “74”, but the interior base is numbered “40” (mismatched). The wood base is also cracked on one side, near the lanyard loop as shown in photos. Luftwaffe proof stamped on the base of the pick. Great overall condition.
