9/27/22 – This is a like-new example of a Smith & Wesson Model 29-3 made to commemorate Elmer Keith, American rancher, firearms enthusiast, and author. One of only 2,500 made by S&W in 1985. The gun has beautiful gold accents throughout. On the right side of the frame is a silhouette of Mr. Keith with his signature underneath. The barrel reads, “Elmer Keith Commemorative”, “44 Magnum”, and “1899-1984”. Around the cylinder, there are several phrases : “Salmon Idaho”, “Sixguns”, “Hell I Was There”, and “1st Outstanding Handgunner”. The left side of the frame reads “1 of 2,500”. The gun has a beautiful deep high polish bluing and case-hardening on the small parts. It is in mint condition with essentially no signs of wear or use. Comes with gorgeous hand-checkered Walnut grips. The bore is like-new.
