9/20/22 – This is a Beretta Model 1934 issued to the Italian military in 1939. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Crown RE” Italian military acceptance proof on the tang. It comes as a rig with a period-correct green leather holster (tear in the closure strap) and two period-correct magazines (there is significant pitting on one of the magazine bottoms). The gun itself has retained roughly 70% of its original finish. There is wear around the muzzle and high edges of the slide. Spotty wear and splotchy discoloration along the whole slide. There is thinning, light brown patina, and noticeable pin-pricking on both grip straps. A few light scratches on the left side of the frame and trigger. Comes with very nice period-correct black bakelite grips. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn, and there is minor pitting throughout.
