9/20/22 -This is a nice example of a 1939 Mauser K98 with a rare “243” Mauser factory code. The bolt, floor plate, trigger group, follower, and rear sight match the receiver. Mismatched Erma barrel. The barrel bands and butt plate are mismatched to the receiver, but match the faint “2006” number on the underside of the butt stock. The stock also has the proper waffen military inspection proofs. There is a faint added number scratched into the receiver. There is noticeable spotty finish loss and tiny dots of oxidation on the metal parts throughout. The stock has nice crisp proofs, but there are small bruises and scratches throughout. The bore is mint.
