08/25/22 – This is a very nice example of a Springfield Model 1903 rifle from 1920. The original finish is in very nice condition with minor oxidation and handling wear throughout. The receiver is dated to 1920 and the Springfield Armory barrel is dated for September of 1920. The wooden stock is in very nice condition showing only minor handling wear throughout with a few minor dings here and there. There is a “P in circle” proof on the underside of the rifle’s wrist as well as rack number markings “11-8” and “208” on the left and underside of the stock. Overall the rifle is in very nice condition. The action is smooth and functional. The bore shows strong rifling but has minor freckling throughout.
