8/19/22 – This is an excellent example of a Remington Model 870 Wingmaster from 1950. This particular gun is in a police riot configuration and chambered in 12GA. It has an “RISP” marking on the left side of the receiver which we believe to stand for the Rhode Island State Police. We could not find any more information on it. The metal parts have a really nice parkerized finish throughout. There is minor pitting under the finish on the receiver, so we believe it was at least partially refurbished, likely done at a police arsenal. There are some small dots of discoloration and a light streak of wear along the left side of the barrel. A small spot of wear and what looks like dried adhesive on the underside of the trigger guard. Minty wood stock. Nice butt pad. The bore is shiny and minty.
