8/19/22 – This is an excellent example of a beautiful engraved German drilling shotgun/rifle made by Udo Anschutz before WW2. The gun is all matching and has the proper German proofs throughout. The shotgun barrels are chambered in 16GA, and the rifle barrel is 7.8mm. The receiver features a beautiful engraving pattern of what looks like elk or stag. It also comes equipped with a very nice Carl Zeiss scope (excellent optics). Along the barrel, there are a few tiny scratches and small dots of discoloration. On the left side of the barrel, there is an area of thinning and pin-pricking. There is some light spotty wear on the scope at the front eye piece and around the scope rings. The wood stock is very nice, but there is a hairline crack around the wrist and what look like tiny water droplet stains on the right side of the butt stock. The shotgun bores are mint, and the rifle bore has strong rifling with very minor fouling in the grooves. Fully functional.
