8/16/22 – This is a very nice example of an Enfield No 2 Mk 1 Revolver issued to the British military in 1940. It has the proper British proofs throughout. There is no serial number on the underside of the frame where we’re used to seeing it. Instead, there is a serial number on the frame under the left grip panel that matches the serial number on the cylinder. The gun has retained about 94% of its military finish. In general, there is very minor wear on the high edges and an area of discoloration on the underside of the frame and barrel. Light roll mark on the cylinder. Some small spots of dark discoloration here and there. Brown patina on the grip straps. Comes with period-correct black bakelite grips – small dings here and there. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
