8/4/22 – This is an original Haenel Schmeisser model 1 pistol. This is a 2nd variation of the model 1, most likely made in the late 1920s. It has retained roughly half of its bluing with obvious finish loss on the whole slide and barrel. There is spotty wear on both grip straps and a series of noticeable dings on the back strap and tang. Comes with excellent period-correct bakelite grips and one proper magazine. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.
