8/3/22 – This is an original 1st Model Luftwaffe dagger with the original scabbard and chain hanger. The blade also comes with an original product tag from Thomas Wittmann, dated 1989 (when Mr. Wittmann had originally sold this dagger). The blade is excellent despite a small spot of surface rust just below the Eickhorn maker stamp. Otherwise there are a few mild areas of speckling, but no major issues. Leather stopper is still intact. The hand guard and pommel still retain the original gold washed finish on the swastikas. The leather handle has some mild surface wear and aging but is in great overall condition. The scabbard is minty and the hanger is maker marked by OLC.
