8/1/22 – This is an excellent example of a Walther PP manufactured at the end of the war in 1945. This is a GI mismatched gun put together by an American GI at the very end of the war. It has no proof marks, indicating it was never issued and never made it out of the Walther factory. It properly has no slide legend and has an “ac” Walther factory code on the right side of the slide. Some of the small parts have a phosphate finish. It has retained about 97% of its finish. There is some very light scratchy wear on both sides of the slide and around the muzzle. Comes with nice late-war wood grips (small chip on the left side) and a rare late-war “W” marked magazine with a phosphate finish on the tube. Minty bore.
