7/29/22 – This is a re-worked Colt 1911A1 from 1942. It has the original matching numbered slide and frame, but a replaced HS barrel and the pistol has been reparkerized. It’s possible it’s an arsenal rework but there are no arsenal proofs. The original WB inspectors cartouche is a little faint but still visible. The grips are in good condition with sharp checkering. Risdon magazine. Unfortunately the bore is in poor condition with worn rifling and frost/freckling throughout.
