7/22/22 – This is a nice Artillery Luger that was put together from a 1916 DWM Artillery Luger upper and a 1920’s era Simson frame. The gun is almost entirely mismatched, has Imperial military proofs on the upper, and has Simson “Eagle 6” proofs on the frame. It has retained roughly 75% of its bluing. Most of the finish loss is on the left side of the frame and side plate, where the wear is spotty and there is some pitting as well. Minor pitting along the barrel. Thinning on the front strap and spotty oxidation on both grip straps. Comes with wood grips – the left panel is worn and mildly chipped along the edge. Also comes with an un-numbered wood-bottom magazine. The bore is excellent with great rifling. This gun would make a fantastic shooter.
