7/20/22 – This is an original 1942 dated P.38 holster from WW2. The back of the holster has very faint stamps, starting with a maker stamp that’s a bearskin oakleaf 9 logo with 1942 date. Only the “2” is clearly visible from this date marking. Next to this maker stamp is a waffen proof. To the right of the belt loops is an extremely faint P.38 stamp in the leather (this is very hard to see). The back leather also has a name scratched into the surface leather that reads “CRIPP”. The rest of the leather is in great condition with normal pliability and a nice black finish. There’s some typical mild surface scuffs on the exterior. Clean interior leather and no notable stitching issues.
