Model 1906 Navy Luger
WW1
6178a - 21259

7/20/22 – This is a nice example of a rare DWM Model 1906 Navy Luger issued to the Imperial German Navy during WW1. This is a rare first-issue example, characterized by having no chamber date and have the original safety in the upper position. On this particular gun, the safety was altered to the 2nd-issue configuration and is now in the lower position. In any case, the gun is matching, except for the side plate, and has the proper navy “Crown M” markings throughout. “W.W. 1986” Navy property marking on the back strap. The entire gun has been re-blued. There is wear around the muzzle, side plate, and side rails. Spotty wear along the whole barrel. Scratchy wear on the grip straps. Areas of minor pitting most noticeable along the barrel and on the slide. Comes with very nice un-numbered wood grips and a period-correct Navy magazine that is not matching to the gun. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with minor pitting throughout.
