7/20/22 – This is a very nice example of a rare Sauer Behorden pistol. This is a Sauer Model 1913 issued to the Nazi-era Prussian State Police. This is evidenced by the police sunburst marking on the left side of the frame. This was the last iteration of this pistol before they switched over to the 38h. They were marketed to and almost exclusively sold to Nazi-era police organizations. They had added safety features, such as the additional trigger safety, making them appealing for police. Very few of these guns were produced. This one is all matching and comes as a rig with a mint 1941-dated Nazi police holster (faint circular ink stamp on the inside) and two period-correct magazines. The gun itself has retained roughly 80% of its original high polish finish. There is thinning and spotty oxidation on the grip straps and minor wear along both sides of the slide, concentrated mostly around the high edges. Comes with excellent black plastic grips. Mint bore.
