7/19/22 – This is an original 1939 dated Luger holster. The holster is maker stamped, dated, and waffen proof stamped on the back leather. These stamps are relatively faint, and the maker stamp is hard to decipher. The first three letters look like “HAN” and the last two letters look like “OM”. Under the maker name is “NEU-ULM”. The holster has normal pliability and typical signs of previous use and aging. There’s fading to the black dye throughout the leather. The closure strap has some mild surface wrinkling and cracking, but this doesn’t go deep. The back right belt appears to be replaced and restitched. The style of this loop and stitching looks aged, so we think this is likely a field replacement. the rest of the stitching is in great condition.
