7/18/22 – This is a nice Walther PP that was issued to the German Reich Finance Ministry in 1940-41. All matching and original with 85-87% of the high-polish blue remaining. Holster wear on either side of the muzzle, with scattered bluing loss on the right side of the slide and an area of finish wear on the bottom of the back strap. Back strap is marked ‘R.F.V. 20351 W’. Terrific bore. The pistol comes with an original document from the Treasury Department’s Alcohol Tax Unit. While not a standard customs declaration, the document dates the record to 1946, verifying the pistol as a bringback by serial.
