7/14/22 – This is a scarce 9mm Iraqi Tariq pistol, a license built copy of the Beretta M1951 pistol. Al-Qadisiyyah Establishments were responsible for Iraqi production under the license. It has a blued finish which is obviously worn throughout. Also some oxidation/pinpricking on the top of the barrel and slide. The bore is excellent. The grips have many surface scratches/scuffs but no cracks. These pistols were carried by the Iraqi Republican Guard. The unique grips featuring General Tariq ibn Ziyad’s profile on opposing medallions on the pistols grips. General Tariq was the conqueror of Visigoth Spain in 711 AD.
