7/14/22 – This is an original German Army Officer’s dress belt and buckle. The buckle is maker stamped by Assmann as shown on the interior fastening hook. The exterior of the buckle has some dark patina and mild edge wear congruent with typical aging wear. The brocade belt is in good condition although there are some areas of white / yellowed discoloration on the exterior of the belt (shown in photos). The silver wire is in great condition but has some mild fraying along the edges. Very nice dark green fabric interior. The leather tongue is in tact and has the aluminum fastening hook attached.
