7/11/22 – This is an original 1917 dated WW1 Luger holster. The holster is maker stamped and dated on the front leather as shown. The stamp is crisp, and the maker stamp appears to be a double-stamp. The interior lid is stamped “BAXIX 17” as shown. The reddish brown leather is in great condition considering its’ age. The leather is pliable and has some scuffs along the magazine pouch. There’s also some surface cracking in the leather near the toe, closure strap, and magazine pouch. The leather is completely in tact and the stitching is all original. There’s a few loose / missing stitches on the top leather but this doesn’t affect functionality and is very minor. There’s also stitching missing from the tool pouch on the interior of the holster. The pouch is still attached however.
