6/29/22 – This is an original WW2 Japanese Naval Officer’s Dirk. The dirk has a factory made blade that shows some oxidation around the edge and spotty discoloration on both sides. The tempered steel lines are faint but still visible. No signs of sharpening. The handle shows aging as well although the wire wrap and ray skin are still in tact despite a crack along the edge. Comes with an excellent condition scabbard. The top fitting on the scabbard can pull off, but this requires some force and doesn’t affect functionality.
