6/28/22 – This is a nice example of a what we would call an “odd ball” Luger. It was made by DWM and has a 1921 chamber date. It has Weimar-era Eagle proofs on the right side of the slide and commercial “Crown N” proofs throughout. It has a “Krieghoff Suhl” retailer marking on the tang. It appears that there was a unit marking on the front strap that has been ground away. In any case, the gun is all matching and has retained about 93% of its bluing. There is is minor wear on the side plate, side rails, around the muzzle, on the left side of the barrel, and on the front strap. Some areas of very light pin-pricking here and there. Comes with slightly-worn matching-numbered grips and a matching-numbered magazine (the numbering is post-factory). The rifling in the bore is poor with minor pitting throughout.
