10/17/22 – Original and excellent condition. Beautiful original finish. Stock is excellent as well. Stock has the SA stamp on the left side and circle P just behind the trigger. Bore rates about 9 of 10 with strong rifling. Produced in 1956 and is a late model, near the end of Garand production. The official last M1 rifle came off of the armory assembly line on May 17, 1957. The rifle was serial number 6084405. That is only 567 rifles past this serial number – 6083838, so this is truly one of the last “official” Garands. This Garand includes the data sheet documenting all of the markings. Also includes a Certificate of Authenticity from he Civilian Marksmanship Program from 1998.
