6/1/22 – This is an original US Civil Defense helmet. These were issued to “town leaders” or volunteers who helped prepare citizens for any invasion or attack in the 1950s and 1960s. The helmet is in great condition with very nice paint throughout and a crisp front logo. The interior canvas liner is still in tact as well. There’s some mild wear and signs of aging throughout. A nice example of US history.
