5/26/22 – This is a 1944 dated softshell P.38 holster. The back leather is 1944 dated, maker stamped, waffen proofed, and P.38 stamped. The leather is soft and pliable throughout with normal signs of aging and use. The toe of leather has a hole for a lanyard loop likely added by the G.I. who captured this piece. There are no notable stitching issues.
