5/24/22 – This is an original 1943 dated holster for a 7.65mm Axis pistol. The holster has somewhat of an extended toe or snout, and measures about 8 inches long and 5.5 inches wide when closed. The leather is soft and pliable and has surface wrinkling around the toe and top leather. The interior leather is fairly clean with a small ink stamp we cannot decipher. The belt loop and closure strap show evidence of re-stitching, but the rest of the stitching appears original. There’s a “clg” maker stamp and “43” date under the closure strap.
