5/19/22 – This is a near-mint example of a Nambu Type 14 issued to the Japanese military in June of 1937. The gun is all matching and comes as a rig with a rubberized canvas holster, one original matching-numbered magazine, one mismatched magazine (blued tube), a blued cleaning rod, and an un-numbered spare firing pin. There is some stitching coming apart on the top flap. The gun itself has retained nearly all of its finish. While there is almost no actual finish loss, there is noticeable freckling on both grip straps. The rig side of the slide is marked “187” – we’re not sure of the meaning. Comes with nice period-correct wood grips – the left panel is hand-numbered to match the gun, the right panel is un-numbered. There is a tiny nick in the left panel. The bore is stone-mint. It also comes with a letter from the NRA (dated 1946) detailing how to disassemble the gun.
