5/10/22 – This is a nice example of a Walther PPK sold in the commercial market in 1939. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Crown N” proofs. The gun has retained roughly 70% of its finish, and there are areas that have been touched with cold blue throughout. Most of the finish loss is on the underside of the frame, trigger guard, and front strap, where there is scratchy wear. Noticeable splotchy discoloration on the right side of the frame. There are areas of thinning and tiny pits along both sides of the slide. Comes with a period-correct brown grip – there is a hairline crack in the spine and some minor warping on the right side. Also comes with a period-correct Walther banner-only magazine. Excellent bore – shiny with strong rifling. The slide does not lock back with this magazine.
