4/19/22 – This is an excellent example of a Walther PP manufactured at the end of the war in 1945. This is a GI mismatched gun put together by an American GI at the very end of the war. It has no proof marks, indicating it was never issued and never made it out of the Walther factory. It properly has no slide legend and has an “ac” Walther factory code on the right side of the slide. Some of the small parts have a phosphate finish, correct for this variation. The gun also comes with a rare end-of-war “W” marked phosphate magazine. The gun has retained about 95% of its original finish. There are hints of thinning and some dots of discoloration on the straps. Minor wear along the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Small dots of discoloration on both sides of the slide. Comes with nice black bakelite grips – one small spot of wear on the right side. Minty bore.
