4/5/22 – This is an excellent, all original Springfield Armory 1911 made in 1914. It retains approximately 92 – 94% of its original finish, one of the best examples we have offered. It comes with original grips that are as nice as the gun – correct with 11 rows of diamonds. All parts are marked ‘S’ including the correct barrel. This indicates that all parts including the small parts are original and Springfield-made. The barrel is correctly marked S on left lug, and J on rear of chamber hood. The bore is very good with a little wear to the rifling and minor frost throughout. The magazine shows a bit more wear than the gun, but is the correct, folded lip mag with lanyard loop. Overall, this rare 1911 Springfield is in excellen,t original condition with just some light honest use and handling wear.
