4/5/22 – This an all-original, real G.I., pre-Pearl Harbor, WW2 Springfield M1 Garand in very good condition. It was manufactured in November of 1941, making it an early gun. As such, all of the internal parts are early (see photos). It also has an early, flush-nut rear sight. This rifle is not a lend-lease. All of the parts appear to be original and correct throughout. Sharp GHS inspectors mark on stock with crossed cannons cartouche. Excellent finish on the metal parts aside from the gas tube, which accounts for the vast majority of the wear. The wood stock is also excellent and original with a few minor dings. Circle P on wrist. The gun is fully functional and operates smoothly. The bore shows wear to the rifling with freckling and frost throughout. Muzzle and throat are both about a 2.5.
