3/28/22 – This is an excellent condition WW2 Japanese Army officer’s sword. This sword comes with capture papers to Pfc. Gordon Brandes, a surrender tag on the scabbard in Kanji characters and a company grade tassel. The blade has a wavy oil tempered line, looks clean and sharp and has no nicks on the blade. The sword also comes with a sword report (with a picture of the tang) which indicates it was made by a sword smith with a last name of Kojima and an art name of Katsumasa. This is a great example of an early 1940s WW2 era manufactured sword with documentation.
