3/25/22 – This is an excellent example of a Mauser Model 1914 sold in the commercial market in the 1920’s. It is all matching and has the proper “Crown U” proofs. The whole gun has been professionally restored, so the finish is bright and beautiful. It has retained virtually all of its new bluing, but there are some small dots of oxidation on the front strap. There are also areas of minor discoloration on the right side of the slide and frame. Comes with a very nice period-correct wood grip (looks like a very thin layer of lacquer was applied) and a refinished magazine. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn, and there is minor pitting in the grooves throughout.
