3/15/22 – This is a very nice example of a Sauer 38h manufactured at the very end of WW2, in 1945. The gun is all matching and has no proof marks, indicating that it is likely this gun never made it out of the factory. It also comes with what appears to be a factory-nickeled magazine. Our best guess is that this magazine was leftover in the factory and put with this gun. There is very little actual finish loss on this gun. However, there is heavy brown patina under the finish throughout and an area of spotty oxidation on the left side of the slide. Comes with nice period-correct black bakelite grips. There are two hairline cracks on the left side and one on the right. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.
