2/25/22 – This is a minty example of the Beretta BM-59 battle rifle as completed by James River Armory. After WWII, Italy adopted the M1 Garand rifle and modified it under license, but modified it for the 7.62x51mm NATO round. Beretta then designed the BM-59 as a rechambered M1 with a removable 20rd magazine, and combined muzzle brake/flash suppressor. This particular example was completed with some mix of original and modern parts by James River Armory, with more details in the link below. It’s in near-mint condition with hardly any finish wear and a mint stock. Barrel is marked ‘SIAU’ and dated to 1967. Bore is shiny with strong rifling, and just a bit of frost throughout.
