2/18/22 – This is a very nice Inland M1A1 Paratrooper carbine from 1942. While the gun is largely correct “by the book”, it appears likely it was re-worked or re-assembled from parts for correctness. It’s in the proper serial range and correctly has a rear flip sight and no bayonet lug, but the sight is staked and the barrel shows signs a bayo lug was removed. Internals/small parts are almost entirely Inland and correct, including the stock which is OI marked on the grip. Only the staked rear sight is not an Inland part. The metal buttstock appears refinished, and is marked “B257614 * G”, which is correct for an M1A1 stock. Stock is in great condition with no notable issues. It has the indent where the folding stock hits the wood but virtually all such examples do. Minty bore. Comes with U.S. marked canvas carry case, which is 1943 dated and maker-marked ‘Atlas Awning’. There is an import mark on underside of barrel.
