2/17/22 – This is a mostly correct IBM M1 Carbine from early 1944. A full parts guide is included in the photos, showing the incorrect parts, which are mostly in the trigger housing. The stock and handguard appear “mated” but have correct markings. Receiver and barrel have nice finish but receiver was likely refinished. Import mark on underside of barrel. Desirable rear flip sight with no bayonet lug on barrel. Shiny bore with a little bit of freckling in the grooves. Stock has many dings and handling wear but no cracks. Comes with postwar sling.
