2/4/22 – This is a rare and highly desirable Colt M1911 that was issued to the U.S. Navy in 1915. There were only 500 issued to the U.S. Navy in 1915, which is the lowest Naval production total for any year during either WW1 or WW2. This one has about 80% of its original blue but presents very nicely. There’s wear on the mainspring housing, and each side of the slide. There’s also some dulling of the blue on the front strap, and some surface scratches on the right side of the slide. Correct Colt barrel with disconnected ‘P H’ marking. Excellent bore. Beautiful wood grips with no cracks or chips. Proper two-tone magazine with lanyard ring.
